David J Rusk Library is going to organize a special Valentine-themed event, The “Write” Connection : Celebrating Expression through Words. This event celebrates words, emotions and meaningful connections through literature, writing and creative expression.
Here are some highlights of the event:
1 . Expressive Writing Activities
a. A Letter Never Sent: (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
Participants are invited to write letters they never had the courage or opportunity to share. These letters may be addressed to a book character, an author, written from the perspective of a character or inspired by literature. Letters may remain private or be displayed anonymously.
b. The Wall of Unspoken Hearts
A dedicated display board placed in front of the library, where everyone can pin anonymous notes expressing appreciation, gratitude, encouragement, friendship or unspoken feelings. The board will be displayed from the morning onwards, creating a shared space of empathy, connection and reflection throughout the day.
2. Games
Guess the Book Through Emojis & Clues
A fun and interactive activity where participants guess book titles using emoji & clues, encouraging literary knowledge and engagement.
