Community Connect: June 17th

On the occasion of Pride Month, The Q Initiative, in collaboration with Heart and Mind Hub, organized a Community Connect event on 17 June.

As the name suggests, Community Connect was created as a space for the Thames community to come together, connect, and engage through a variety of interactive activities facilitated by The Q Initiative and Heart and Mind Hub.

The stall featured a range of games and activities designed to encourage participation and foster community engagement. These included quizzes, a zine-making station, an art corner, and fun props for taking selfies. Visitors could also explore a display of articles and resources, while a large interactive notice board served as a community newsboard where people could share thoughts, messages, and reflections.

The event provided an inclusive and welcoming environment for community members to interact, express themselves, and celebrate Pride Month together.
