Discover Rotaract

The Rotaract Club of Thames successfully organized Discover Rotaract on 15th August 2026 at
the Thames Auditorium from 3:00 PM. The program was designed to introduce
students to the values, opportunities, and impact of Rotaract, encouraging them to become part of
a community dedicated to leadership, service, and personal growth.

The event commenced with a welcome session, followed by an introduction to Rotaract by
President Bidhi Rana Magar, who shared the vision, objectives, and scope of the Rotaract
movement, highlighting how the club provides students with opportunities to develop leadership
skills while creating meaningful social impact.

Following this, Secretary Anala Shrestha presented the club's signature initiative, Project
Nyano, sharing its purpose, implementation, and the positive impact it has created within the
community. The presentation reflected the club's commitment to service and demonstrated how
student-led initiatives can bring about meaningful change.

The program featured an inspiring panel of distinguished guest speakers, including Binayak
Dahal, District Rotaract Administrator Officer; Sunisha Dhungana, Regional Rotaract
Coordinator; Sunil Shahi, Past President of the Rotaract Club of Bhadgaun; and Mr. Rajendra
Sherchan, Chairperson of Thames International College and Charter President of the Rotary of
Thamel. Drawing from their personal journeys in Rotaract, the speakers encouraged students to
embrace volunteerism, leadership, and community engagement, emphasizing how the
organization has shaped both their personal and professional lives.

The event was also attended by members of the Board of Directors of the Rotaract Club of
Thames, including President Bidhi Rana Magar, Vice President Shruti Rajbhandari,
Secretary Anala Shrestha, Treasurer Neeva Shrestha, and Sergeant-at-Arms Sanjeet
Pyakurel, whose presence reflected the collective leadership and commitment of the club.

Discover Rotaract concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from students,
providing them with valuable insights into the mission and activities of the Rotaract Club of
Thames. The event effectively showcased the club's initiatives, inspired prospective members,
and reinforced Rotaract's commitment to creating leaders through service.
