Following the successful conclusion of the guided exhibition tours, as well as the writing and photography workshops organized by the Writing Center, another creative addition to the series was the embroidery workshop titled "A Stitch in Time: Storytelling with Embroidery." Led by Priyanka Singh Maharjan—who also curated the exhibition To All the Women Who Came Before Me—this workshop offered participants a unique opportunity to engage with visual storytelling through needle and thread.
The workshop drew inspiration from the photographs produced during the earlier photography session. Priyanka Maharjan introduced participants to basic embroidery techniques, encouraging them to use these skills to craft personal narratives. The workshop emphasized storytelling, allowing students to express their emotions and experiences via threads, colors, and textures.
Student works including photographs, written pieces, and embroidered creations will be showcased during the upcoming Social Work Symposium 2025. The embroidery workshop served not only as a creative outlet but also as a space for reflection and expression, aligning closely with the themes of the exhibition and the broader goals of the symposium's pre-events.
